The park of the Château d’Aveny

Almost all of the park is planted with oaks, ash, chestnuts and hornbeam trees, all native species of the region, crossed by a starry grid of alleys offering magnificent panoramas and, where they intersect, there were formerly glades of greenery, if we are to believe the plans of the eighteenth century. Part of the park was converted to the English style at the beginning of the 19th century, allowing the creation of a lake and the introduction of several species of trees new at the time, including cedars and horse chestnut trees.
